As a Construction Materials Technician (CMT), you'll operate under the immediate guidance of a registered professional engineer. Collaborating closely with site managers and engineers, you'll contribute as a valued team member to execute essential inspection and sampling services. Within our team, CMTs assume a pivotal role in upholding quality assurance for construction projects of all scales. You'll be actively engaged in the collection of concrete, soil, and other on-site materials for testing, while also ensuring the continuous oversight of general contractor activities. These activities encompass a wide spectrum, including but not limited to on-site testing and reporting related to earthwork and soil construction, foundation and subgrade assessment, reinforcement steel examination, concrete placements, masonry evaluations, and asphalt testing. Furthermore, CMTs hold the responsibility of meticulously crafting daily reports, which will be submitted to the designated project engineer. These comprehensive reports encompass not only a summary of your test results but also offer detailed observations obtained from the construction site. Occasional travel might be required on a project-specific basis.
